At Dove Bank Primary School, we believe that science develops not only their understanding of the world around us, but problem solving, logic and reasoning skills. Our children are given opportunities to develop their resilience by working through problems to find answers, sometimes over a period of time. They also become more resilient by evaluating and repeating tests to ensure that results are accurate. We are aspirational for our children through promoting technical vocabulary and the understanding of scientific concepts, children are also encouraged to ask their own questions and investigate ideas they themselves initiate. Underpinning all our learning, we encourage our children to show kindness, respect, consideration and understanding when learning in science lessons.
