Our Curriculum Approach
At Dove Bank Primary School, our curriculum is driven by the need to prepare our children for lifelong learning. We offer a rich and vibrant curriculum, which builds upon what pupils already know, and is ambitious for all learners. Through our curriculum, we develop the essential knowledge, skills and understanding which are the building blocks for later life. We carefully sequence our curriculum, so that pupils remember more and aspire to be the very best they can be. Pupils at Dove Bank are encouraged to be inquisitive about the world around them; curiosity builds a love of learning and a drive for pupils to discover answers for themselves and become resilient when facing challenge. We carefully balance the requirement for pupils to reach national expectations, with our wider curriculum aims of developing kind and confident pupils who are ready for the next stage in their education.
