This week, the children in Year Two will bring home a club letter offering them to join a cookery club and a handwriting club. Please send this back on the first Monday when we return to school. Places will be limited to ten children, so please make sure it is returned quickly should your child want to join.

        Year 5 had a fantastic trip to Manchester Museum today.  They found out all about the Ancient Egyptians and in particular Asru (the mummy). They also spent time measuring the different animals in the museum and comparing them to each other.

 

Last Friday, Year 5 were lucky enough to visit Staffordshire University.  They got chance to tour the university kitchen, explore the campus and visit the mock court room.  It was a very exciting day and the children really enjoyed discussing what subjects they might like to study at university in the future.

 

It is great to see all the children back from the Easter holiday and enthusiastic about their learning.  We are looking forward to another eventful and exciting term here at Dove Bank.

 

The whole school took part in our Easter service this morning.  We learnt about the meaning of Easter through songs, talks, readings and prayers.

The children really enjoyed watching the live streaming of The Tempest after investigating the play themselves earlier this term.
