A huge thank you to all those adults and children who have been collecting and saving the athlete stickers from Aldi.
In doing this, we have also learnt a little bit about the next Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020.
We are proud to say that we have FILLED the sticker grid! Well done everyone!
We will now be sending it off to be entered into the prize draw (£20,000 for sports equipment!). Fingers crossed, we win.
Hello everyone, 
It’s that time of year again! On Friday 18th October, we will be welcoming Reverend Baker back to Dove Bank to hold our annual assembly to celebrate the Harvest.
We will be taking food donations to support Newcastle Staffs Foodbank, which unfortunately is currently experiencing food shortages.
We kindly ask that you only donate non-perishable items (that are still unopened, sealed in their original packaging and in date!)
This could include items such as: tins, packets and cartons. For a full list, please refer to the letter that was handed out to parents last week. If you need a new copy, please just ask at the office.
We are very grateful for your donations and continued support here at the school.

We are extremely excited to greet and get the year started for all our children at Dove Bank.
For each and everyone, we hope you have had a relaxing, fun break and made some fantastic memories.
In addition, recharged your batteries ready to enjoy some fun, challenging learning for the year ahead.
Over the summer, we have been thinking about your curriculum, but we will tweak it along the way to adapt to you.
So, let’s get learning.

On Friday 5th July, Year 5 children have the opportunity to take part in a Bikeability (level 1) course free of charge during school time.
The children will be taught basic cycle skills including, bike safety checks, starting and stopping under control, manoeuvring, signalling and using gears all within the safe environment of the school playground.
To take part, your child needs to return the consent form no later than Wednesday 19th June.
They will require a working bike and a helmet. NOTE: It is our policy here at Dove Bank that children cannot ride a bike unless wearing a cycle helmet. Without this, the child will not be able to take part.
On Friday 21st June, in the afternoon, we are hosting a sharing event at Dove Bank to show parents etc. all of the wonderful work we have done around Romeo and Juliet in school.
You will be taken on a guided tour around school to watch each class perform a different part of the play.
Projects such as art work and writing will be displayed for you to peruse at your leisure. Also, we will provide refreshments!
Tickets are available for the two time slots, please return your letters as soon as possible as they are on a first come, first serve basis (and there are limited numbers).
We do hope you can make it! We can’t wait to show you the work that we are so proud of.
Yesterday, Year 5 performed part of the play, Romeo and Juliet and the New Vic theatre with four other RSC associate schools. The day was a huge success!
I would like to congratulate all those who took part on their FANTASTIC performance. We are so proud of you all. You represented Dove Bank really well and wowed us with your drama skills! A HUGE well done and thank you!

Trentham Gardens have a dragon, a phoenix and a unicorn nested in their fairy gardens.
Please send into school unwanted cardboard boxes, Year Three can use them to make Greek temples.
Also, any newspapers. We will recycle them to make Greek vases.
